Rockdale Mattress Factory Warranty Information

Introduction

Rockdale Mattress Factory have been setting the standard for quality bedding for over 40 years, however in the event that a product fails to meet our high standards, Rockdale Mattress Factory offers a guarantee to the original purchaser to repair the product against faulty workmanship and materials for the period stated.  This is provided that the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural form of the material used or damage caused by abuse, misuse or negligence. Proof of original purchase must be verified with Rockdale Mattress Factory. The company reserves the right not to handle items for repair if, in its opinion, they have been tampered with or misused by the purchaser beyond reasonable wear or if the product has been physically damaged intentionally or due to accident and/or neglect: including burns, cuts, water damage, mould, stains, soiled by blood or urine and if it is unsanitary. Use of a mattress protector is advisable at all times.

Types of Warranty

Rockdale Mattress Factory offers six different levels of warranty:

C:    5 Years        Pro Rata
D:    3 Years        Pro Rata
E:    2 Years        Pro Rata
F:    1 Years        Pro Rata
G:    No warranty , second hand goods & goods as inspected.

Getting Used To Your New Mattress

When you first get to sleep on your new Rockdale Mattress Factory mattress, you may feel a little different from the mattress you have been sleeping on for the many years previously.  This is because you are so used to what you have already been sleeping for all those years that it will take you time to adjust physically and mentally to the new mattress.  You will soon become adjusted to the extra comfort, support and benefits that only a Rockdale Mattress Factory sleep system can provide. Please allow up to 12 weeks to adjust to your new Rockdale Mattress Factory mattress.

Personal Judgement

Too hard or too soft is a personal judgement which should be resolved at the time of purchase.  It is not a warranty issue.
Body Impressions
 All mattresses will indicate body impressions as the mattress upholstery conforms to your body to provide cushioning and comfort. The upholstery filling is levelling to a final position and getting used to your body contours.   This is not a structural defect covered by this guarantee.  Body impressions up to 35mm in a mattress is considered a normal occurrence. Rotating and flipping the mattress over periodically will help equality wear and tear.

Transportation and Inspection Charges

Rockdale Mattress Factory will cover the transport costs within the Sydney area, arising from repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty during the first 12 months of the warranty period.  After 12 months, transportation costs are to be met by the purchaser. Rockdale Mattress Factory reserves the right to charge an upfront call out fee prior to an inspection taking place during the life of the mattress.  This fee will be refunded should a manufacturing fault be discovered.

Base

Rockdale Mattress Factory mattresses are suitable for slat bases. Bases that are spring or sagging allow the mattress to sag, causing the top cover to wrinkle. Sleepers may experience roll together through inadequate support.  If placed on any base that is not a slat base, even under the load of one or two sleepers, the warranty may be voided. Solid panel timber bases must have sufficient air holes drilled to permit dispersal of moisture and prevent mildew. Bases must always be firm, even and supportive. Legs and castors, glides and t-nuts are excluded from warranty.
This Warranty Does NOT Cover:
•    Small manufacturing irregularities that do not affect the performance of the bed.
•    Comfort issues relating to the customers preferences.
•    The fitment of manchester items.
•    Handles, as they  are not intended to be used to lift, turn or transport the product.
•    Normal wear and tear, or damage caused by abuse, misuse or negligence including folding, bending, standing on or jumping on the mattress.
•    Bedding that is stained or in an unsanitary condition.
•    Mattress damage caused by base systems that do not provide even support or do cause damage due to inappropriate  foundation.

The Benefits

The benefits conferred by the Guarantee are in addition to all other rights and remedies in respect of the product which the Purchaser has under the Trade Practices Act (Commonwealth) 1974 and similar State and Territory laws.

Mattress Care

For spot cleaning use a damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent. Contact manufacturer for specific cleaning instructions. Always use a good quality mattress protector to prevent staining of mattress.  To increase the life of your mattress, follow rotating steps below every 3 months. For one sided mattresses follow step 1,2,4 and 5.

2. ROTATE your
mattress so it hangs
over foundation.

3. RAISE and TURN
your mattress over
side to side.

4. ROTATE your
mattress back into
position.

5. Your mattress is
now ready for another
good night's rest.
